The guy renting was a fraud, customer service also was trying to say it was okay. Very unprofessional- stick to the hotels and Airbnb. This company is a joke, very unhelpful and very keen on not assisting you after the advertise fraudulent homes that are not available and expect you to pay more for a more upscale version.

Horrible Service, poor personnel

On January 4, I had major back surgery in Baton Rouge. I made this decision after months of intense pain.

Before, at the recommendation of someone I know, I hired Right At Home, a home health agency, to take care of the my post-op needs and the needs of my companion, Rita St. Amant. Rita has dementia. It maybe the worse business decision of my entire life.

The following is a list of the few complaints I have against this company.

On the night of January 10th, I was suffering from a severe case of Impaction. Earlier I the morning, I had to call an ambulance to go to the emergency room. That night I was expecting a helper from Right At Home to attend to the needs of my companion, Rita St. Amant.

Instead I got a rude, obnoxious, incompetent person who made things a lot worse for me.

Before she came over, a retired surgeon friend, Dr. James Wade, offered to aid me in my emergency Impaction needs. He was greeted by the Right At Home helper with uncooperative, rude, insulting behavior. She was a hindrance to my emergency needs.

She was in the way and would not remove herself from the chair she was seated in. She ignored my request to get up. She ignored my request to leave my home.

Had I not been incapacitated, I would have called the police. Im 81 years old, and I have never experienced such rude, obnoxious and harmful behavior in all my life.

Caregivers late and after calling office in S.C. Got no explanation or call back.

On several occasions the caregivers are late (10-15 mins) which under usual circumstances it doesnt make much difference in the big picture. Its on occasions when there are early morning medical appointments, employment or other reasons that the care thats paid for doesnt arrive on time. Its almost impossible to get the same caregiver on a routine basis even though you request a particular caregiver for a routine schedule. Most of the caregivers are wonderful compassionate people who sincerely want to help their patients. The organization is the issue.minimal supervision and structure.

User's recommendation: Caregiver quality is most important when talking about care for your loved one. Talk to them and if you find one you like, advocate to have them scheduled when you need routine long term care.

I didn't like one of the caregivers because she wouldn't listen to anything I said or try to help me. I asked for someone new and they agreed to send someone and then called and told me they didn't think we were a good fit. I had three different caregivers and only add difficulty with one. They terminated my service without even allowing me enough time to find someone else. else. ever recommend

Bad Care

Made the appointment with the owner Laurie she made sure she told me she was the owner a title she should not throw around unless she is going to take responsibility for this place. After she had everything sighed from the VA she wanted to meet me asap and get me Dad set up with care since he only had days left in his life!!

Guess what after we sighed the paper work so they could care for My Dad I never heard from them again called the person to do my assessment and for three days NOTHING not even a call back.

So I called and it became a big joke to them they could mot get anold of there own employee. I had to get someone elesr to take there place synergi stepped up and helped me take my Dad to his

The employees that took care of my dad were rude and disrespectful to family members. They were judgement and in my dads business. It never helped to call the office, they did NOTHING. The staff many times overstepped and acted like they were licensed professional which they were not. Its hard enough to see a parent age without staff making it worse. Dont trust these people, youll be sorry if you do. These people are inSt Charles mo.

Couldn't agree more. Seems as tho caregivers with rite at home r quitting and the schedulers r quitting as well about when they've been at rite at home about 6 months.

It's like revolving doors! My heart goes out to those clients who r unable to speak for themselves. There's no continuity of care. Keep getting getting new caregivers, different schedules.

I need to have the same caregiver each week. I'm needing help with many ongoing projects I need help with and with new people all the time, it's very frustrating.

Could do all the work by myself, but I need help. I'm very limited in what I can do for myself, so I need someone's help.

Continuous theft, laziness, and the attitude of owner

1: Nail it down, have nanny cams, or kiss it goodbye. 2: Expect Milford branch to excuse the aides behavior and try to make you think you imagined the whole thing, then say "why do you leave things lying around for temptation". Why don't you have a camera? Why should I need to get one? 3: One aide clocked in, left the premises, (leaving the client alone) went to do her errands, then came back. She did this on a daily basis until getting caught. 4: GET CAMERAS: These aides know that you can't prove a thing without one. They will steal anything and everything!

Look tried right at home. Don't do it. They will do there best to get you in trouble for eler abuse even though you pay a fortune for bath care and cleaning. The white assistant have my mom a bath and then cleaned the house and I PAId for it. She really helped mom out. The black assistant didn't want to give m a bath which I paid for. Stay away from right a5 home M I'm sorry I haven't slept for a couple of weeks because dieing because locked up in a he. *** these shots have driven mom's pets off. For us pets are family. . She divided the house was not clean and would not baithe mom but she still came by once amonth. So pissed I can't sleep. All of them need to stay away or I am going to prison

I have used various caring companies but found Right at Home be elitist in caring, they provide a bespoke service and are the only caring company i have used that actually do what they say they will do. They have provided care for my mother since March of this year. I find the company and all the staff to be extremely helpful and willing to resolve any issues swiftly and with professionalism. I could see all the carer's have been provided with excellent training, finding them to be conscientious, kind, helpful and prepared to do whatever was asked of them. Its a pleasure to have met them, they have great personalities and positive attitudes

A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE

When I called this company, I spoke and met with the owner, Jennifer Selden. Oh, she was SOOOO SWEET, and understanding to the very little I needed from the Aid. I am 66 years old, and can still walk, talk, care for my hygiene, and wipe on my own. All I needed was someone to help out a little around the house and take me to my doctors appointments every two weeks. OHH, NO PROBLEM; she would always be sure to handle such a short order with NO PROBLEM; and I was STUPID enough to believe her because she was SO PLEASENT on our introduction. THEN!!!!! There was no problem for the first two months with my ride to see my surgeon, which was almost three hours away, because that brought in some good, quick money, but the Aid that was to come, NEVER SHOWED UP, BECAUSE SHE NEVER HAD ONE FOR ME, though she kept telling me that she couldn't understand why the woman was not coming. Well, she is the owner; she knew!!! Mrs. Selden had No One, but wanted to keep me hanging on, so as not to loose the money she was receiving, but had No One that was willing to work for the LOW WAGES she pays her workers, like a lot of these agencies. There was also an incident where Mrs. Selden sent someone to take me out of town. I found out that this was the ?boyfriend/husband? of someone Mrs. Selden was planning on hiring. Mrs. Selden had never met the man. Mrs. Selden had NO BACKROUND CHECK done on him, NO INTERVIEW, NOTHING!!!! Yet hired him to be my Aid/Driver, which is when the man, himself informed me that he had never met Mrs. Selden, only spoke to her, via telephone, and filled out a form via Fax. Since we had a three hour trip each way, I needed for this driver to arriver to arrive at 8:00 a.m., the man never arrived until 10:00 a.m. According to Mrs. Selden, this man was a Doctors Assistant here in Wilmington, NC, but according to this man, "he said he traveled to Africa, transporting Diamonds for an Insurance Company," and "was home in North Carolina for a two (2) week break. Then he changed his story and told me that he does travel to Africa, but dealing with cutting and transporting tree lumber to other countries. Only after I listened to all I needed to hear, did I ask him if he had ever worked in the medical field. This man answered NO, but was one day hoping to return to school and study Nursing. Upon arriving to my home again, instead of just helping me in with my belongings, he came into my home, and I could not get rid of him for a while, and this is what scared me, more than anything else. When I tried to contact Mrs. Selden, after this occurred, I could never get ahold of her, even when I left messages in her office and on her cell phone, asking that she return my call. I finally was able to reach her, one night, on her cell phone, about 9:30 p.m., and she scolded me like a child, and told me that she was IN BED TRYING TO GET HER REST, AND I NEEDED TO CALL DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS!!!!!!! So what I say is, just BE WARE OF Mrs. Jennifer Selden's PRETTY SMILE AND REALLY SWEET TALK AND BIG PROMISES, because things aren't always what THEY SEEM TO BE with these Home Care Services, and if you are hiring for a Parent, or a Loved One; be sure that you check this company out with a Fine Tooth Comb, or even having camera's in the home, will assure that the one in need is well cared for, protected, and services that are paid for, are being met, when there is No One Around to Watch and Speak Up for Toughs Who Are Not Able To Speak Up For Themselves, Or Are Too Scared To, due to their age or the extent of their illness. I pray that you will use this information before making a Final Decision. As for me, this company HAS NO CREDABILITY, WAT SO EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terrible

My mom has been home from rehab facility in parker co, the.staff is terrible. I called and told them we still not heard about home care. Sad Nell the director said they have people in parker. They cant find anyone to take care of my mother. Dont use this company. Im happy i can write this terrible review i will make that company miserable.

Ok so how to start of they pay not much when they get paid 25 and hour for every client not even half of that is yours. They say they will send some one to train you and there only there for 2 hours and leave so i had to train my self to do the job on my own. They want you to do more hours but yet dont pay you any ot they only give you gift cards not only that but they have no benefits definitely one of the worst plays i ever worked for wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Terrible Owner Who Is Never Accountable

RAH in Ogden Utah. My mother signed up for their service The big problem we had was with the owner, Nicole I think, she constantly lied constantly to cover her butt about not returning calls, fired one of caregivers (Debra) for not being at someone else’s house when she was scheduled to be at my mom's, and was. My mother called them and cancelled the service and told them not to send anyone out after that. A caregiver showed up when told not to. After my mom cancelled the service, the co-owner, JD called and said he'd call her later about the problem(s) she was having. He never called her back but showed up at her door that night. The problems started when the caregiver Debra, whom she trusted most was scheduled to care for someone else next week. She didn't trust the other caregivers as they didn't have enough strength to help get her in the shower safely. Neither Debra or my mom knew of the new schedule, it came from another caregiver. My mom called and was told the schedule couldn't be changed, she then asked to talk to JD who she knows. She was told that he'd gone back to work elsewhere so mom asked to talk with the owner and was told they'd have her call her. Never happened so mom continued to try and a couple of times actually talked with Nicole, who kept putting her off. When Nicole fired Debra she did it via group text so everyone would know.
